After a glorious draw on Tuesday, there is a more familiar challenger awaiting Spurs this weekend.

Tottenham will face Liverpool, who have become sort of a bogey team for Mauricio Pochettino. A win by Spurs this Sunday at Wembley would be the first time they’ve beaten the Reds since 2012. Tottenham’s scorers that day, in a 2-1 victory, were Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale. It’s safe to say a few things have changed since then.

One last theme from me before Ed makes his triumphant return on Monday. It has been an honor to be his super-sub.

Sometimes events take place that allow two global superstars to meet on the same stage. Tuesday’s game in Madrid was one of those special occasions. Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo shared the pitch, and then swapped shirts after the match.
