Happy Tuesday Spursland!

It’s my second day in charge of the Hoddle- where does the time go, huh?- and pleasingly, nothing seems to be on fire just yet. Let’s see how long that lasts, though, as I reintroduce the ever-controversial Hoddle Theme of the Day feature:

And now back to your regularly-scheduled serving of soccer links. Enjoy!

Links

Ian Wright has expressed concerns about Dele Alli’s future as news emerges that our midfield superstar is looking to switch agents. If we’re talking ruined careers I think we should really be sparing a thought for all of his nutmeg victims instead, but there you go.

Harry Winks is set for his first start in thousand years against Barnsley, get excited!

The Metro thinks that Virgil van Dijk is still bummed about having to stay at Southampton because he declined to rip his shirt off and leap into the stands after scoring for their U23 side. Seems like an open and shut case to me.

The Bartomeu-Neymar spat is still threatening to kill us all through sheer unabated tediousness.

And finally... as a case study from Dortmund’s recent tie against Koln shows, video refereeing might not be the panacea we all hoped it would be. * shaking fist * ROBOTS!
