Gooooood morning Spursland!

Hump day can be a reflective part of the week at the best of times- let alone when Spurs have just struggled to an ugly 1-0 win against Championship opposition. In light of that, I’ve chosen something lovely from Sampha’s Mercury Prize-winning album Process for you all to ruminate to as the Hoddle Theme of the Day. Enjoy!

Mauricio Pochettino hails Dele Alli for overcoming a recent run of poor form (presumably by pinching its bottom on a set piece until it kicked him and got sent off) after his winner last night at Wembley.

A considerably less cheery Jurgen Klopp continues to demonstrate his close affinity with Liverpool fans by expressing his nausea at his side’s recent form after a chastening 2-0 defeat to Leicester.

In crabby malcontent news, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said something about young footballers and fancy soap bags and I’m only mentioning this in order to draw out your best ‘slipping over’ jokes.

Over in Germany Manuel Neuer is going to be out of Bayern’s penalty area for the rest of 2017, as if he ever spends any time in there anyway.

And finally... Rio Ferdinand, the legendary former pointer and shouter for Man Utd and England, is set to launch a career in boxing. He’s used to blocking strikes in the area but CAN HE etc etc etc
