Happy Friday ladies and gents!

As my first week at the helm of the Hoddle draws to a close, I have to take this opportunity to say that I’d forgotten how much I thoroughly enjoyed providing content for you lovely people. I’d obviously do it anyway just for the mouldy crusts of bread and five minutes of outside time a week that Dustin Menno kindly provides us with here at CFC Towers- but it’s getting to be a part of your ‘triffic interactions every day that really makes the whole gig worthwhile. Indeed, I’d go as far as to say that I’m feelin’ lovely about the whole thing.

Eric Dier has rocked the Spurs-supporting world by explosively revealing in an interview with Sky Sports that he’d quite like to a win a trophy at some point, please, if that wouldn’t be too much trouble.

Meanwhile Mauricio Pochettino has described the conversion of the young Englishman into a centre-mid as one of the biggest gambles of his Spurs career, apparently forgetting the multiple occasions on which he started Vlad Chiriches at centre-back.

Feeling nervous about our match against West Ham this weekend? Well, you should, because it’s without doubt the grimmest fixture on our calendar every single year. But if you want to feel a little more positive about it here’s a video Sky Sports has done on Harry Kane’s goalscoring record in derby ties.

Elsewhere in football...

Man Utd vice-chairman Ed Woodward has claimed that Amazon and Facebook are interested in scooping up viewing rights for Premier League games next year. * shocked face emoji reaction *

Tammy Abraham has committed to being Harry Kane’s long-term deputy on the international stage, which is nice.

Remember a time when we were managed by a guy called Tim Sherwood and had a player on our books named Paulinho? Thanks to years of intensive hypnotherapy, I certainly don’t. But apparently the latter is now playing for Barcelona, and doing pretty well by all accounts.

And finally...

What are the only circumstances under which it’s acceptable to link to stories about Arsenal players, present and past? When they’re savaging each other on Instagram, of course.
