The international break loometh, and its heralds are the team announcements. England manager Gareth Southgate has selected his squad for next week’s two UEFA World Cup qualifiers vs. Slovenia and at Lithuania, and for Tottenham fans the news is pretty much as expected.

Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier, and of course, Harry Kane were all named to Southgate’s 26 man squad.

England haven’t officially qualified for Russia 2018 yet, but they’re up five points over Slovakia in Group H and can qualify with a win in either of next week’s games. Hopefully that comes in the October 5 game against Slovenia at Wembley Stadium, allowing for Spurs’ players to get a rest late in the international break.

In other England news, Kyle Walker-Peters, Josh Onomah, and Harry Winks were all named to Aidy Boothroyd’s England U21 squad as they play two U21 Euro qualifiers against Andorra and Scotland. Marcus “Mini Messi Edwards was named to the England U20s for friendlies against Italy and the Czech Republic, while academy defender Japhet Tanganga was named to England’s U19s for friendlies against the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Meanwhile, England’s squad for the upcoming U17 World Cup will feature two more Tottenham youngsters. Academy players Tashan Oakley-Booth and Timothy Eyoma will travel to India for the event, which kicks off October 6.
