Klaassen, Sandro will get more time and opportunities

Ever since his arrival at Everton, manager Sam Allardyce has preached patience whenever the question has come up about some of the players that Everton splashed out the cash on during the summer transfer window.

While Gylfi Sigurdsson has already received a new lease on life under Big Sam, it’s Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez that fans are most interested in seeing, and both players will be reassured by what Allardyce has been saying lately.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Newcastle tomorrow, Allardyce added -

“It's difficult for a player from abroad to settle in immediately. Even more difficult when a club is struggling, they can't come in and impress with their talents that they showed abroad.

“Time is what they need sometimes. You come into a different culture, a different country, a different environment, different training programs from your previous club.

“If it's the first time they've traveled then it's even more difficult.”

This is especially so for both Klaassen and Sandro, who have only played in Holland and Spain respectively in their early careers.

“It's our responsibility to make sure not only are they comfortable here at the club, but they are comfortable with where they live, their partner is comfortable with the choices they have made.

“When they go home, apart from being disappointed about not being in the squad and everything being okay, it's a problem that way and even more problems arise with the player breaking into the squad and doing well.”

With the Blues playing seven Premier League games in the month of December followed by more in early January, chances are the pair will get every chance to show they belong before the winter transfer window closes.
