The transfer deadline is looming, Everton still have massive gaps in their squad and there are very few solid links with Premier League quality players. Ronald Koeman can’t be happy. The need for a big-time goalscorer is painfully obvious. Could they go back in for Crystal Palace’s Christian Benteke? Or are they seriously considering Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy? The Diego Costa link seems to have legs, but the club will need to find an option for the future as well.
