It does not get much worse than that. Entering the game as favorites, Everton were humiliated by Atalanta, a solid but seemingly unimpressive Italian league foe on Thursday night. There’s not much else to say. It was a bad day and, hopefully, there is nowhere to go but up. but this one will sting for a little while.
