Everton Ladies show improvement against Chelsea Ladies

Today’s pre-season game against the FA Women’s Super League 1 Champions Chelsea Ladies took place behind closed doors at St. George’s Park. Everton lost 2-1 but showed improvement since their last pre-season loss against Arsenal. The Toffee’s pre-season record is now at two wins and two losses.

Coach Andy Spence remains positive, stating on Twitter that the team has learned a lot and have an exciting future. Everton forward Claudia Walker stated that there were “a lot of positives to take away from the game.”

Everton Ladies play another closed door pre-season game on Tuesday against Fylde, who is in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division (a league one level below the FA WSL2). Everton’s last pre-season game takes place on September 17 against WSL1 opponents Birmingham City.

Everton ladies are preparing for their much anticipated season opener, a Merseyside derby against Liverpool Ladies on September 22nd which will be televised live on BT Sport.
