After the first international break of the young season, Everton are back in action in the friendly confines of Goodison Park following three straight away games. The visitors are Tottenham Hotspur, bridesmaids for the last two Premier League seasons, and looking to get back on track after two false starts at Wembley, their home for the season.
The Blues drew 1-1 against the Spurs last season with Ross Barkley scoring the opening goal from a long-range freekick, but the visitors equalized late in the game to share the spoils.
