James McClean has hit out at 'cowards' who he claims threw 'bottles, coins and lighters' at him during West Brom's 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield yesterday.

The Ireland star was introduced as a second half substitute for the Baggies but despite going close late on, McClean couldn't snatch a point for West Brom.

He picked up a yellow card in injury time following a robust challenge on Huddersfield midfielder Tom Ince, which was highlighted on Match of the Day - something that didn't sit well with McClean.

The 28-year-old posted twice on social media after the game, hitting out at the fans he says threw objects in his direction after the incident, as well as Match of the Day for honing in on his tackle and allegedly ignoring his treatment at the hands of some unruly fans.
