Well the cynic would say we are wasting our time with them BECAUSE we aren't going to sign them. Then we can always trot out the oft used "we tried but the other club was difficult to deal with"

It really is very weird if Klopp is not having Robertson on the bench, has Robertson also upset Klopp somehow, same as Sakho did, maybe he has the temerity to suggest we are sh*t at defending set pieces and offered some advice.

Also even a top defensive coach can't work miracles.

So...anyhow... with Sakho, Moreno and Markovic still all here - it looks like not only do we have bother signing and keeping players; we can't get F***ing rid of 'em either. 😕

I think the thing with Robertson is that he only plays one position, so if he isn't starting it makes more sense to use Gomez, who can play all along th back line, Klavan, who can play center back and left back, and Milner, who can play both fullback spots, on the bench.

I expect we will see Robertson starting at left back before too long.

Can't believe we turned down a decent offer for Moreno. FSG trying to squeeze another million out of him, and the result is we may be lumbered with him for another season. Jürgen looks like he may even end up playing him.

I'm surprised we've not had more interest in Sakho. If I was eg Wenger, I'd be making inquiries. He'd improve City's defence n all.

Markovic FSG will just have to take a hit on.

Their moneyball seems to fall down on the whole getting rid of players that don't work out side of things. MOTD had an amazing stat last night that LFC spend 69% of their revenue on wages ( a higher proportion than our rivals). Seems bizarre when you consider we have no really big names, but part of it is obviously down to moneyball "promising young prospect" dead wood that we can't get off the books.
