He looks fit in that training video mate but was shitting myself when I saw Clyne doing that one legged lunge jump exercise  and thought to myself at the time, F**k I hope they don't make Danny do that, he might do a hip.  :D

He has a nice haircut though.  ;D

Wouldn't it be great if Sturridge DID actually stay fit for a full season? A GENUINE number 9 as opposed to a fake one would make an absolutely huge difference to us.

Probably about as likely as us signing Kieta AND VVD, but you never know I suppose.

Actually, for all the joking about current players being "like a new signing," a fit Sturridge playing up to his best form would absolutely be like a major signing. This would answer the question about offensive depth with the busier schedule, and for all the big names mentioned out there as striking options, I would put an in-form and fit Sturridge at least in the conversation with them. We shouldn't let these past few seasons cause us to forget how good of p layer he can be.

Now, is he going to be fit? I understand the pessimism there, but if he manages to do so, and if it's goals you like.....

Really want Danny to do well and keep fit this season we could do with at least one more good season out of him.

Klopp saying that Studge is in the best shape he has been in since he came to Liverpool.

Would love him to have a big season and prove a lot of people wrong, including me.

Bags of talent alongside bags of frustration. I thought injuries would've taken their toll and he'd be sold so it's great to see him looking like he will stay.

Klopp said ''Daniel is in good physical shape, absolutely. He could be part of the full pre-season so far that's very important. It's looking good''.

The manager sounds confident he's staying or could it be a message to prospective buyers that Studge has turned a corner?

Can't see Klopp trying to hood wink anyone being honest. However, I would still get rid and put  £££  towards another player

Very doubtful he is trying to 'hoodwink' anyone mate, Klopp is saying  as he sees.
In the long term interest cashing in on the player would probably be the better option, there lies the quandary; the owner's idea of interests in the long term for LFC seem to differ to that of the majority.

Quality if he could do 90 mins on a regular basis which we know over the last couple of years has been a very hard task.

His quality is ridiculous. He's also on relatively cheap money for what he can bring to the table.

Would be stupid to get rid. I genuinely think Klopp rated him.

      I love him

Question is, will he be like this after 3-5 games into the season? :p

Obviously Studge would be used sparingly, if he does show signs of being more robust than previous outings maybe the manager will see fit to give him more game time.
Jürgen's show of confidence in the player can only be taken as a positive.

Watched him in the Hong Kong game v Palace.

He had some good movement and touches  and there lies the quandry.

Is he going to start a few games and then go injured on us again?

How is his motivation ....his mental state .... does he want or need to prove something to himself or the fans?

I don't think the latter would push his buttons but to himself yes.

Lallana just did some interview saying Studge looks really sharp and fit.  Klopp apparently echoed those comments suggesting that this is the fittest Studge has been since he took over.  IF -- and that's a big IF -- Studge can stay fit all season, we will be in the mix for the title.  He's that good -- when he's fit.

Sturridge put a lot of work into his fitness with specialist training in the US. I saw fans laugh off this work, but it sure sounds like its done the trick so far, and may pay off very well for Sturridge and us.

Only time will tell (hopefully, not a short time!!) but this could be fantastic - and if truly fit, he really needs to be given the starting role. Firmino days could be numbered.

Yeah Sturridge might last more than 2 games in a row now so lets immediately get rid of Firmino, what the actual F**k??

I have more faith in Bobby than Sturridge.

Im happy for Studge to be a 30 minute impact sub, he'll be happy doing 30% of the work for 100% of the pay packet.

A fully fit Danny is such a huge bonus IF he can stay fit.

As deadly in front of goal as anyone around. Just needs some of his pace and agility back.

      Let's hope so.

Looking at Solanke he to could rightly put pressure on Firmino.

Not in all games, Firmino is a much underestimated player, he creates so much space for players like Mane and Salah to exploit, so I don't agree that Sturridge automatically starts in all games but of course having a fully fit Sturridge would be a massive benefit to the team.
