Gini and Can fair enough mate, not sure how much Lucas contributed to us getting 4th.

1-0 win vs WBA, Lucas got the assist
1-0 win vs Watford, Lucas got the assist
Penalty that should have been scored to put us 1-0 up vs Saints, was Lucas' ball into the box that led to the handball.

Oh and he got an assist against the bitters as we came into the last 7(?) games.

He more than played his part.

Come on buddy someone aimlessly punting the ball into the box is something everyone on this forum could do.

But the fact is, no one else did do it and if Milner had scored it then I expect you'd have skimmed past that bit of the post like you did the rest and none the less, if it is just a punt up into the box it's still an assist.

What , 4th spot ? How lucky we are that those players finally decided to turn up
We dared to dream of 4 th and these players finally fell over the line to secure our praise.

You definitely just look for a reaction in some of your posts, I'm sure of it...

I get that you literally don't rate Lucas, but why can't you acknowledge he has had some very good games at CB and mostly at DM? Remember that match vs Spurs at CB? How about that game where he had 18+ odd tackles in 1 match?

You know, considering how you and some others constantly try to have a dig at Gini, Lucas and Can, if it wasn't for them stepping up towards the end of the season, then we wouldn't have gotten that 4th spot.

Exactly, that is what I have tried to tell him.

No mate , i'm just not a cheerleader of also rans. I've witnessed our great teams  so i don't get all warm and fuzzy over mediocre players like Gini , Can and Henderson. Is it that hard to believe that some fans don't accept sh*te just because the majority say you have to. Not me mate.

I can judge a class player because i've seen enough of them and i will never give any Liverpool player an easy ride because he just wears the shirt. It has to be earned.

Because the odd good game doesn't negate the fact that whenever he plays DM we always look more vulnerable, you can include CB in that as well.
Why did he make 18+ tackles more than likely because he was too slow, it no coincidence why he commits so many fouls!

Nothing against Lucas he used to be a really good DM but he isn't anymore and if we want to kick on then that is more likely to happen if Lucas doesn't start very often.

How many of their CM's have scored more goals than Gini and apart from Mata which United midfielder would you have over our 3?
Before Hendo got injured his stats were the equal if not better than Kante.

You sure you are not Federer in disguise? Not heard from him for a while  :o
You're missing my point mate. None of those teams would take any of our midfielders thinking they would improve their team . Comparing Henderson to Kante is a joke. Just when did we miss Henderson ?

Look I know he is no world beater but he was in great form in the first half of the season, coincidence we go a bit sh*te when his chronic problem flares up?

None of the other teams play with a high pressing system like we do so our midfielders are not exactly what would suit Utd or Chelsea etc.
Put it this was do you think Klopp would have YaYa or Carlton Pogba?

Bit of an enigma. Certainly takes his fair share of abuse when he doesn't produce a 8/10 performance. Next year he will be more settled, he should improve.

I think he does well with better players around him, maybe a dominant CM would help him get the best out of him.

He did look lively when he was paired with Coutinho.

I would give him a 7/10 rating for this season, good signing and plenty more to come from him

not to mention Can pulled out a top class bicycle kick against Watford, so bringing Lucas assist is kind of irrelevant.

      This doesn't make sense.

Because the odd good game doesn't negate the fact that whenever he plays DM we always look more vulnerable,

It wasn't the odd game that he was good, he was actually consistently very good as our DM when playing regularly. We shifted the ball a lot better and more composed on the ball, and I actually think we looked just as solid defensively in open play.

Look I know he is no world beater but he was in great form in the first half of the season, coincidence we go a bit sh*te when his chronic problem flares up?

Do you not remember that he was available when Mane was out? We were absolutely sh*t then, remember the negativity on his passing? remember how we still conceded silly goals? remember the negativity on the his partnership with Can or the lack of creativity in the trio of him, Can and Wijnaldum?

Like I said before, I  bet my life if we had Mane in the team fit for the games he missed, we'd have secured 3rd or possibly 2nd with Lucas, Can or Hendo as the #6, hence the reason why I don't think Hendo was missed.

Now look at Gerrard's last 2 matches, that's a midfielder that would be sorely missed and would have made the difference.

Sorry for being so off topic, I won't post again here unless it's about Wijnaldum!

Scored big goals and has a good pair of lungs on him. I always passed him off as lazy before he came. Does have days where  he goes missing, but a great option to have in the squad.

He is always busy on the pitch, has a lot of energy, but does seem to go missing to easily, but has been a fairly good edition

If only there was more than 2 players in the world that Klopp rates I wouldn't start with Gini away from home.
Is just anonomous and that's kind on today's performance. Has no one ever taught him how to head a ball.

Funny thing, he actually is one of the best headers of the ball we have in our squad. I'm a fan of Wijnaldum but I too have to agree he was poor today. I actually think he wouldn't have started the game if it weren't for Coutinho handing in a transfer request and Lallana being injured. It was more out of necessity than anything else I think. The only viable alternative was Grujic. I don't think he has ever even started a PL game?

      Not a good performance today.
Would not be a problem in a squad with depth, but we're not that squad.
Simply has to do better, more often.
