That'll be cos he's come out and said he prefer to sign for us.

With him being a reds fan as kid.

Could be mate. I think at very least he's keeping Chelsea waiting to see what happens with us / Lemar / Phil.

BBC reporting that he has to 'decide between Liverpool and Chelsea, although no concrete offer has been received from Liverpool'.

      That'll be a tricky decision then ;)

Dunno mate, it sounds like it's Lemar or the Ox, this could, potentially indicate we're not getting Lemar. However it's just as possible that it's a gamble by the Ox.

So dunno if we want him but I'm damn sure he wants us.

Ox better hope he doesn't end up like that lad Zielinski -- practically begging us to come and get him, only for us to never put a bid in....

Four or five football podcasts I listened to today said the Ox would have been a better player at any other team in the top 7 (some included Everton, so I thought I would). Finding it hard to disagree, except if Mourinho was in charge, and I do think Klopp could improve him.

I think his pace, strength, and aggression would make him a useful option to rotate with Mane and Salah.  He's not one in desperate for us to sign, but I'll be happy enough should we get him.

A bid for Oxlade-Chamberlain from Liverpool is expected before the deadline. (@bbcsport_david)

Although it is likely to be below the price Chelsea were willing to pay. (@bbcsport_david)

Would appear so, if we can get him on the cheap. Best case scenerio by Thursday? Lemar, Ox and Van Dyke? It's going to be an interesting 48 hours.

If we get Ox it's because Edwards couldn't close the deal on Lemar.

3 years ago Arsenal easily gazumped us on Alexis, now we have first team players of theirs putting it on the line to come to us. Nice time to be a LFC supporter

£20M tops. Could do with some insurance for Hendersons injury record.

Yep and people thought things wouldn't change from one manager to the next.

      Lemar
      Keita
      VvD
      Oxlade-Chamberlain

All declaring they'd like to play for Liverpool over lots of our rivals, sure seems like things are changing to me.

Edwards couldn't close a door but should he somehow manage to do his job this time, it will all depend upon the price. If Arsenal accept a lower bid just to move him on and get something out of it then we might.

It sure would be nice to make it happen for more than one player this year. Is that too much to ask?

Let's be honest here, having Champions League doesn't harm. Klopp was in place last Summer and people didn't want to know. He admitted this himself a few weeks ago.
