Liverpool maestro Philippe Coutinho has been tipped to potentially release a statement or give an interview expressing his clear desire to join Barcelona in an attempt to put pressure on the Reds to sell him before the close of the transfer window.

String pulling by agents and BCN ?

      Sympathy vote ?

Why don't we (FSG) make a statement  telling the world how much he is guaranteed to bank until his contract expires ?

How many million ?   we shall hear them ask .

Don't forget the thousands of shirts we have sold .  Doesn't matter to them does it ?

I mean seriously what would issuing a statement really accomplish?

      Coutinho: "I want to leave."

      Everyone: "Yeah, we know..."

Coutinho: Some bleeding heart, I love Barca, it's my lifelong dream, one and only chance yada, yada, yada...

Don't think the owners are going to let him go even if JĆ¼rgen want's him out.

Really bad precedent that players can do what and more importantly when they want.

So what's he hope to achieve by this? It's already public that he wants to go, Barca and his camp have been feeding more than enough to the press for crying out loud. Going to make a complete fool of himself if he does a public statement saying he wants to go. Take note from our public apology and Barca's ultimatum, these things don't end well or look good.
Barca have lost all credibility if they make another offer for him after the ultimatum, just goes to show they've been able to bully clubs too easily over the years.

Sterling was quite rubbish for us, a lot of people wanted him gone anyway. Coutinho is a lot better.

Will Klopp welcome him back with open arms?

It's equating to Sahko's position now, if  Coutinho pulls off this public stunt.

This, he was far from "world class" and he's not exactly done much since leaving us.

Sakho, made a lot of mistakes by the look of things, seems mostly through a lack of using his brain before acting but at least he was never showing a complete lack of respect to the club and fans like Coutinho has been doing. All this faking injury crap, would put money on him being well enough to play for Brazil.

I can see it now a pic of him like this coming out during the intl break...

      You know it!

Then he will injure his back again after the game. All a bit too convenient like.

AS it goes though, with Barca set to sign Dembele for Ā£135mill, Coutinho is the better of the 2 players so now they can start upping their offer to the 180mill region.

No matter if he stays and plays well, that first match back at Anfield he should be given a taste of what it feels like to get turned on.

As I said earlier even if the manger wants him gone...I don't think we will sell...not after that FSG statement.

Not happy with him, but I don't like the idea of turning against any player in an LFC jersey, during a match.

I think just no response, good or bad, is a better response. Act like he's just another squad member, don't give him any attention, make him earn the cheers again (we were singing Suarez's name pretty damn quick again).

Guess Klopp has taken it personal and a little hurt by all this Coutinho tomfoolery.

ā€œSince I came in Oct 2015 we created in this build an atmosphere that is extremely specialā€”and if the Championsā€™ League isnā€™t a sign [of that], then I donā€™t know what is.ā€

Apparently, he has given an interview to the Mirror. He goes on to say this has been a difficult window especially with Lallana getting injured at the same time Coutinho started throwing his toys out of the pram.

The lad wants to leave and I get that really.

But he signed a contract and life isn't all doom and gloom for the lad.

He's very well paid and at a big champions league club already.

He's basically living our dream so im the time he has left at the club it would be nice to see some respect from him.

Stop pretending to be injured and for the next 12 months smile and play well.

Still amuses me how some people think he bit a player to force a move. Suarez is one of the most determined players around, he will do whatever he can to win. He's hand balled it on the line to stop a goal for his country and ended up getting sent off, all to stop a goal, he's pretty much cried on the pitch because we drew 3-3 with Palace. He will do whatever it takes to win so why would he suddenly think during the World Cup, the biggest stage of them all; "I know, to force a move to Barca I will bite a player even though I will get sent off and probably result in us going out of the competition". Sorry to break it to you but he wasn't thinking about us or Barca in the slightest, he was fully focused on Uruguay.

It still amazes me that people defend a player who sh*t all over the club not once, not twice but three times.

Bit a player at Ajax, got the move he wanted.

Bit Ivanovic then started batting his eyes at Arsenal, as soon as he was with Uruguay and took us to arbitration over his "release clause", which also begs the question of how Arsenal knew about the clause.

Bit Chiellini at the WC, and got his move to Barca.

He was so concentrated on Uruguay that he managed to find time to agree personal terms with Barca, before we even agreed to sell him.

Quite how people excuse this behaviour is beyond me.

Great player, who sh*t all over us to get his dream move, F**k him.
He doesn't want another move, so he's stopped biting people.
      Funny that.
