If we sold him but got VVD Lemar and Renato in would you consider it a good window?

      Without a shadow of doubt.

      Keita
      Solanke
      Salah
      Robertson
      VvD
      Lemar
      Renato

      For

      Coutinho
      Sakho
      Origi
      Lucas

Would be a fantastic window in my opinion. Sure people would piss and moan about Keita not being this season but it's about building an entire squad and that above improves us in so many positions while weakening us in maybe just 1 and that is debatable on Lemar being worse than Coutinho and understanding that one is just 21 and the other 25.

Throw in the almost 100s of 'like new signings' we have and our squad would be the best I've seen in a very long time.

Phil signed his contract earlier in the year, Feb, I think,  But it didn't kick in until July , so rightly, he and his agent got big wedge for a big contract.  So 2 months in, his agent, more than Phil I think, is looking for another major payday.  So, If we sell, take the money back off his greedy b**tard  agent , and phil.  I don't know if there are any legal grounds here. breach of contract etc.

In fund management business its called "churning" for commission and its illegal.

You are bang on ... that is exactly what is happening and the agent was probably working with Barca whilst he was negotiating his contract with us.

      There is a strange parallel.

Ady Boothroyd is sucking what he can out of a possible move for Sterling to the Arse.
This was the player too good for Liverpool and who I was pleased to prophesise that leaving Liverpool the only way was down.

      Sanchez to City ?
His agent said that he didnt want to join Liverpool because the player's wife wanted London life not the grimy North.

Money talks .  Indeed if a football agent is nvolved then it creeps and slithers like a snake.

      BTW people .

Seen the videos of Coutinho running flat out and training at maximum effort for the internationals?
What a miraculous recovery. Hail Mary.

If/ hopefully when he comes back to the club the first thing I would do as a player / friend would be to put a Barca jersey in his locker. Its a bull crap move on his part with handling it the way he did, but as long as he is here you might as well move on and try and make the most of it.

Yahoo Sport suggest an offer to sell Coutinho  has been agreed and a figure of €160m is mentioned.
Meanwhile the Liverpool Echo report that CEO Peter Moore has indicated that Coutinho will not be sold before Thursday's transfer deadline.

I saw that report too as it was published by the Spanish press - therefore published in Latin America too- . Since I noticed that it was written by that bellend Duncan Castles, I thought it was bullshit.

Funny how Sport have that story and right next to it a 'confidential' story telling how LFC is not even willing to talk to Barcelona about Coutinho.

I would like Spurs to flop this year and Barca to end interest in Coutinho, then we can offer Coutinho and 30m for Deli Alli, who is better than Coutinho. Deli Alli was a boyhood Liverpool fan and Ian Ayre messed it up.

I think Cou will be sold. There's no Lemar without fire. On that basis I think Peter Moore is lying. But yeah prove me wrong. If we've the player, good. But wouldn't blame them for selling if the price is above £130m.

The key to the sell or no sell conundrum is who fills Coutinho's boots until a like for like replacement is in place?
Right now that is an almighty ask and estimated values meaningless in terms of value to the club in Coutinho staying.

Sure they aren't. If they were, Lemar's price will skyrocket.

If you're Lemar's seller and know Cou is to be sold for over £100m, would you squeeze Liverpool?

Was being a bit sarky there to see who's still awake, but I can't believe  the spanish window is open an extra day. If we really do want to keep him, we best just leave all the club's officials mobiles turned off on Friday.
