Not a bad shout that mate and while it will make some laugh Sigurdsson is a quality player too. I'd prefer Mahrez out of the two but I think they might be the types of choices we'd actually have to make.

Our set-pieces, with either, would become bloody deadly.

I like the idea of getting two too, we're too short in numbers at CM.

Siggy and Mahrez couldn't lace Cou's boots.

I would sooner have Suso back than Mahrez.

Seen very little of him mate.

If we're after a sitter, I remember you liking Weigl of Dortmund (young lad who sprays the ball about with ease, metronomic and protects the back 4 very well indeed. Could do a lot worse than him, some would be scared at him being so young for a defensive midfielder (21) but I rate him and seem to recall you singing his praises in our matches against Dortmund... either that or you said he was the 6th-8th best player you'd seen  >:D

Weigl is absolute class mate, I sang his praises too, he's bang on a Klopp fit, be very tempted to tempt him to come and work with Jürgen,

Isco should be a target for Phil's replacement and who'd I go for before we sold Cou, Mahrez a possibility but doubt Leicester would sell to us or any prem side, Gylfie is not a bad shout either but a temporary measure until Naby arrives,

Might be pie in the sky but we can only try  , at end of the day if we can't attract replacement player's Cou goes nowhere, end of !

Eriksson might be tempted by higher wages. Who knows. Hes a cracking player.

Saw today where Lorenzo Insigne is a target that Klopp likes. Take it or leave it, who knows what's real anymore.

I had posted Insigne could be a worthy option to look at, and we have links with him today  :P We could play Mane thru the middle, Insigne and Salah on the flanks behind Firmino!

The biggest problem is Napoli are more adamant than Leipzig and Southampton. No way in the world we can coax them into an agreement at this stage.

But if they're willing to do business, we should probably spend the entire Coutinho money plus a few quid more on Insigne and Koulibaly!

      Surely this should be renamed

Fantasy names our useless owners won't be able to sign
I tried to get something similar [to this thread] going in April buddy...

A poll on which position(s) are a priority to be filled [in the absence of players by name] may be interesting.

Assuming we get to spend the hundreds of millions we've stockpiled, of course. 😉

A number one priority or are there way too many deficiencies and unknowns?

Fill the empty Couts vacancy first or replace Migs?... you decide. 😁

I scare myself sometimes  Jon... "I see Red people"... Nostradamouse.     :P

Imagine thinking for a single second it won't be just Lanzini and pocket 80m...

Thanks for the follow up. I would be lying if I said I knew a lot about him. I have watched Napoli play a few times in the last few years and have watched his highlights, but that doesn't tell you much. Outside the EPL and tourney games I'm basically a novice.

Ideally, I (and all of us) hope he stays!

For the thread's sake, for that money, I would probably try getting Insigne from Napoli and Jean Seri from Nice.
Jean Seri is one of the best long passes in the game today, I was very impressed with him last year... He would be a great addition for the likes of Mane and Salah.

Insigne aswell would be a great signing.. He plays alot like Coutinho aswell so that would be a like for like and not much would change.

I've seen his name a lot on here Dado but he just signed a new deal with Real and in it... a £637m release clause. I sh*t you not.  :o

Like we would buy a player from Real anyhow?  So... Who have Southampton got that we could get nice and cheap?

Ward-Prowse? Nice and "young"... "plenty of potential"... "worth a punt"... "value for money"... "lure of CL football" and Southampton born Edwards will speak the same lingo.

There's your man right there.  >:D

Many a true word said in jest mate. You've been unerringly accurate with your "I know it sounds like I'm talking sh*te but....." predictions though, so I suppose you're probably right ;D.

Takes a great set piece does the lad to be fair (I'm in a "I must be more positive" mood today!

Absolutely, but the chances of that are about the same as me signing for Liverpool.

We should have got Isco before he started playing reguarly.

Do you think we could tempt Erikkson?

What about Tom Ince? I've wanted him back at LFC every since he left. Played a blinder at the weekend.
