Anthony Martial has been backed to continue his stunning season - despite the imminent arrival of Alexis Sanchez .
Sanchez will complete his move to Manchester United today with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going in the opposite direction.
But despite the increased competition for places, Nemanja Matic expects Martial to remain a key player at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman scored the only goal against Burnley on Saturday to take his season's tally to 11
"Anthony is a great player as you know and he scored an important goal today," he said following United's narrow win.
"He is very important for our club, our team. He's still young and can still improve . I'm sure he will help us a lot."
Sanchez completed his medical over the weekend and will challenge Martial for his place on the left of attack.
The Chilean has been given then No.7 shirt and could make his debut on Friday against Yeovil in the FA Cup.
