Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of completing a switch to Manchester United.

The Chilean forward, who joined Arsenal back in 2014, will leave north London after four years for a new life in Manchester to work under Jose Mourinho.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was left out of the Manchester United squad for their 1-0 win over Burnley, will move in the opposite direction.

Sanchez was also left out of the Arsenal team who thrashed Crystal Palace 4-1 on Saturday, but his presence was still felt in the stadium.

Around the ground Arsenal have banners showing their support for the Chilean, including one that pays homage to his pet dogs Atom and Humber.

While outside the Emirates Stadium his merchandise was still on sale; although, much of it had been put on the 'sale rail'.

It is not clear what Arsenal will do with the banners around the ground once Sanchez completes his transfer to Manchester United.

The Chilean is expected to undergo his Red Devils medical on Sunday, after he filmed himself boarding a private jet, presumably on his way to Manchester.
