Arsenal fans have rallied behind Hector Bellerin after his response to Piers Morgan's plea for Donald Trump to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, a loyal member of the 'Wenger Out Brigade,' made a case for the US President to take over at the Emirates.

But the Spanish right-back hit back, replying: "Hope he said no," followed by a 'rolling eyes' emoji.'

Gunners fans collectively backed their man in the replies below, with one claiming, "always rated you Hector."

Morgan teased his exclusive interview with the President of the United Stages by tweeting a picture of the pair and an Arsenal shirt with No.45 on the back.

He added: "The moment I invite President Trump to be Arsenal's new manager - because he'd build a strong defensive wall, have an attacking philosophy and want to win big trophies at all costs."

Cries for 'Wenger Out' have been quietened in recent weeks, though they could yet break out next month if Arsenal fail to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.

Wenger hopes to sign the Gabonese striker to package him together with Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a show of defiance after losing Alexis Sanchez, though the clock is ticking ahead of next week's deadline.
