Alexis Sanchez is set to earn a ridiculous amount of money per week when he leaves Arsenal for pastures new at Manchester United.

The Red Devils offered the Chilean a basic salary of almost £100million over the next four-and-a-half years, and that has raised the bar in the Old Trafford pay stakes.

Paul Pogba's agent now believes that the £200,000 per week the France international currently earns is no longer the going rate for a player of his stature.

Mino Raiola is ready to tell the Red Devils to splash some more cash on the former Juventus midfielder, who has three years left on the contract he signed in 2016.

But what about Henrikh Mkhitaryan in all this? After all he is leaving Manchester United for Arsenal, and what he thinks about his new contract has a massive say in whether the deal gets over the line.

Well, let's not forget that Raiola also represents the Armenia star as well as Pogba, and £75million striker Romelu Lukaku for that matter.

And well, he's already threatened to scupper the Sanchez transfer unless Manchester United give his client a hefty pay-off on the last two-and-a-half years of his contract.

So what has the shrewd businessman managed to conjure up for his client? Well, a pay rise, that's what.

Sure, Manchester United are known for spending good money on wages, and have been paying Mkhitaryan £200,000-a-week.

Arsenal, who are generally considered to be more reserved in this area however, will pay the player slightly more than this figure - showing just how keen Arsene Wenger is in the Armenian.
