Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere misses the Gunners' Premier League clash with Swansea City due to illness.

Wilshere, 26, has been in impressive recent form for Arsene Wenger's men, since forcing his way back into the starting lineup.

His form has seen him linked with an England call-up in time for the World Cup, with Per Mertesacker recently declaring: “Jack is leading at the moment and that’s what we want from him. He’s shown what he is capable of.

"He has made some good decisions, both for himself and health-wise, to evolve and get better as a person and also as a player.

But Wilshere missed training on Monday due to a sickness bug, and was subsequently left behind for the clash in south Wales against the Premier League's basement club.
