Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has had his say on Alexis Sanchez's proposed move to Manchester United.

The Chilean is set to swap the Emirates for Old Trafford in a £35million switch with his current deal with Arsenal expiring in the summer.

Arsene Wenger has decided to cash in on Sanchez in a transfer which is set to see Henrikh Mkhitaryan move the other way.

And while hinting the fee and £490,000-a-week wages may have taken him by surprise, Klopp conceded United's move for Sanchez 'makes sense'.

"I have nothing to say about the numbers," said the German. "I could really create headlines, but I won’t.

"We’ve had our big transfer. Sanchez makes sense for pretty much every team in the world because he's a very good player."

Liverpool have already sealed a £75million transfer for Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in this window.
