Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has finally completed his transfer to Arsenal and put pen to paper on a deal worth £180,000 per week.

The Gunners parted with £56million to entice the Gabon international to the Emirates, making him the most expensive transfer in the club's history.

But it wasn't just the 28-year-old striker who was reveling in extra cash on Deadline Day, Arsenal also tied Mesut Ozil down to a new contract.

The German playmaker signed a new three-year contract at Arsenal, putting pen to paper on a deal worth a whopping £350,000-a-week.

Arsenal say the deal is not yet signed but expect it to be announced and confirmed within the next few days.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said earlier this month he was confident that Ozil would re-sign and he would stay at the Emirates.

Ozil had been a free agent with his contract due to expire this summer which brought interest from Barcelona and Manchester United.

But none of the other offers matched what Arsenal will end up paying Ozil.

Aubameyang was made Arsenal's second-highest earner after Henrikh Mkhitaryan penned a £200,000-a-week deal earlier in the month.

But he will see himself fall down to third in the leader board when Ozil finally signs his new contract, which is worth nearly double what Aubameyang's is.
