An outstanding performance saw Swansea City move off the bottom of the Premier League table as they saw off lacklustre Arsenal 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Arsene Wenger's side were well off the pace during the first half hour, but took an undeserved lead when Mesut Ozil's clipped pass was turned home by Nacho Monreal.

Within two minutes however the hosts were level.

Mesut Ozil was easily dispossessed and when the ball was slipped through, Granit Xhaka allowed Sam Clucas to run free, and the midfielder turned home.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was introduced on the hour mark, but within 60 seconds an awful Petr Cech mistake allowed Jordan Ayew to make it 2-1.

And when Ayew outstripped Shkodran Mustafi and cut back late on, Clucas fired into the roof of the net to ensure victory for Carlos Carvalhal's men.

Here are John Cross' player ratings from south Wales...

Poor display. Lacks quality at times and you wonder if he really is an Arsenal player.
