Everything still points to the deal being completed before this evening's 11pm deadline, especially now Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has completed his move from Borussia Dortmund to the Emirates.
The Gabon striker has agreed a long-term deal at Arsenal after the Gunners paid £56million for his services.
Giroud's move will see Michy Batshuayi switch to Dortmund on loan for the rest of the season as he bids for more regular first-team football.
Arsenal have reportedly paid the £1.3million loan fee for the Belgian to Dortmund as part of the Aubameyang fee, essentially meaning the Bundesliga side only have to pay the striker's wages.
