Michy Batshuayi has joked he is the perfect man to take over from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund - as 'Batman'.

The Chelsea striker completed his loan move on deadline day after Aubameyang joined Arsenal and got straight down to work with his new team-mates.

The pair were involved in a transfer merry-go-round which also saw Olivier Giroud replace Batshuayi at Chelsea.

While Batshuayi adopting the nickname doesn't need much explanation, it was also used for Aubameyang during his time in Germany.

In 2015, he and Marco Reus donned Batman and Robin masks as they celebrated a goal.

Aubameyang also wore a Spiderman mask during his time with Dortmund but they now have a new super hero.

And after completing the move, Batshuayi took to social media to announce his arrival.

"Heard the Batman job was vacant BVB so I decided to take over."

He also explained why he needed to leave Chelsea, despite scoring twice against Newcastle on Sunday.

“In order to achieve my big objective, I want to play as much as possible and score many goals," he said.

"The World Cup is taking place in the summer.”

Dortmund have paid £1.3million to land the 23-year-old – but they wanted to agree a clause that would give them the chance to make the move permanent in the summer.
