Alvin Kamara is the obvious choice for Offensive Rookie of the Year. He’s earned it through plays like his third-quarter touchdown against the Panthers on Sunday.
Kamara beat pretty much Carolina’s entire defense on the play, including safety Kurt Coleman.
Coleman probably isn’t going to be happy that he whiffed on Kamara. He should have known better, based on some comments he made last week.
Kurt Coleman described why Kamara is so tough to tackle earlier this week.

“He kind of goes limp to the side and the (defender) kind of shrugs off.”
Kamara just did exactly that … to Coleman
It’s been a brilliant first year for Kamara. He’s got 606 yards and is averaging 7.0 yards per carry on the ground. Kamara has added 614 receiving yards, and has 11 total touchdowns on the season.
Two of those touchdowns came on Sunday, including the one Coleman surely wishes he could do over.
