Stephen Curry’s ankle injury, Devin Booker’s 46 points and everything else from Monday

What else happened on Monday? Kevin Durant and Boogie almost fought, and Dwight Howard broke some more ankles.

Devin Booker dropped 46 points against the 76ers on Monday. He did it after starting off shooting 1-of-10 from the field. On a normal day, that’s a big enough game to highlight our nightly scores post.

But Monday was not your average NBA night. It was far from it. Here’s why:

Steph Curry is on crutches

Stephen Curry sprained his problematic right ankle late in the Warriors’ victory over the Pelicans. He walked off the court under his own power but needed crutches after getting to the locker room.

The X-rays on Curry’s right ankle were negative, and that’s a good thing, but he’ll have an official MRI on Tuesday. Either way, given his ankle injury history, that sprain is not good.

DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant almost fought

A heated exchange on the court led to both players being tossed from the game. Then after Boogie realized he had nothing left to lose, he entered full “f*** it” mode and went after Durant:

Giannis Antetokounmpo tried to vaporize Aron Baynes, again

Antetokounmpo already eviscerated Baynes once this season. That’s why his attempt to do it again is so damn disrespectful, man:

Giannis might have a thing for dunking on Baynes. He tried to wipe him off the planet earlier this season, too:

And at the end of Monday night, he still dunked on him once:

The Wizards miss John Wall very, very much

Pretty much.

Oh yeah, and Booker went off for 46 points

It’s not every day someone starts a game 1-of-10, then finishes 17-of-32 for 46 points. Enter Devin Booker, not your everyday super scorer:

Some highlights

Kyrie Irving buried the Bucks with this vicious step-back three:

Irving is one of the most feared fourth-quarter and clutch scorers, and this is exactly why.

DWIGHT HOWARD BROKE NIKOLA VUCEVIC’S ANKLES!

This isn’t the first player he’s crossed this season. It’s all part of his re-emergence as a star big man in Charlotte.

Aaron Gordon can still get up, y’all
