Fantasy football start/sit Week 7: What to do with Willie Snead

One Saints receiver was eased back into the lineup in Week 6. We break down the fantasy implications.

NFL: Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Willie Snead caught just one pass for 11 yards in his season debut last week. Snead played only 21 of 71 snaps against the Detroit Lions.

It’s clear Snead is being eased back into the lineup after sitting out the first month of the season.

Fantasy impact: Snead was certainly an impact player at times for the Saints last season. With Brandin Cooks shipped off to New England in the offseason, fantasy owners probably expected more out of Snead in terms of season-long value. It’s obvious owners will have to hold out another week to see that value.

Moving forward, Snead should be more involved in the offense but it’s also important to keep in mind Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn, and Brandon Coleman will be in the mix as well.

Quarterback Drew Brees has always found a way to spread the ball out to receivers over the years, so it’ll be tough to predict how any receiver does week to week. Sit Snead.

Recommendation: Sit
