Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate did whatever he wanted against the New York Giants Sunday. Brate finished the game with four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown. He could have had a bigger game had he not dropped an end zone pass from QB Jameis Winston late in the first half.
This week Brate should have another field day against the New England Patriots. The Patriots are the fifth-worst team against opposing tight ends. They have given up 248 yards and three touchdowns to big men through four games.
Fantasy impact: Brate’s biggest competition Thursday night will be his teammate, rookie TE O.J. Howard. Howard had a noticeable presence in Week 4 and could challenge Brate for targets, but the Patriots defense is unlikely to stop Brate from finding the end zone for a third straight week. Brate’s matchup is too good to pass up this week.
