Jordan Howard injury update: Bears RB questionable vs. Bucs

We break down the fantasy impact of Jordan Howard battling a shoulder injury.

Editor’s update: The Bears are expected to have Jordan Howard in their lineup, according to Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.

The Chicago Bears are listing Jordan Howard as questionable vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. Howard is dealing with a shoulder injury that limited him in practice this week.

When Howard was banged up in Week 1, that led to Tarik Cohen having a big role in Chicago’s offense vs. the Atlanta Falcons. Cohen finished with 66 rushing yards on just five carries to go with eight catches for 47 yards and a score.

Howard still finished with 52 yards and a score on 13 carries to go with three catches for 14 yards. He should remain the featured back when healthy, but his injury has definitely opened the door for Cohen to steal touches.

Fantasy Impact: If Howard is active, he faces a Buccaneers defense that finished 22nd vs. the run in 2016. Even with Cohen breathing down his neck, Howard is still someone you should start as long as he plays.
