Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 2: Adam Thielen

Can Thielen have another monster fantasy week against a much tougher defense?

NFL: New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Adam Thielen had a field day in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. Thielen caught nine passes on 10 targets for 157 yards Monday night. He led the receiving core in targets, catches and yards, however, Thielen could not find the end zone.

The Minnesota Vikings head to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers Sunday. The Steelers defense held all of the Cleveland Browns’ receivers to under 55 yards receiving. They gave up a total of 222 passing yards and one touchdown catch in the matchup.

Fantasy impact: Let’s be real, Thielen blew up a bad defense Week 1. The Vikings are not going to have it that easy this week. First, they are playing on the road against a much better team. Second, QB Sam Bradford is ailing from a knee injury that could affect his play. Lastly, the Steelers defense shut down opposing WRs traveling to Heinz field last season. Thielen is looking at a big hole this week.

Recommendation: Sit
