2017 Premier League odds: Matchweek 9 betting preview and analysis for top games

Liverpool will try to gain some ground on the EPL table with an upset road win over Tottenham in a highlight matchup this week, with Man City a huge betting favorite against Burnley FC.

Liverpool is unbeaten in its last 10 games against Tottenham Hotspur with a 7-0-3 record in the last 10 games of this series. The club hopes to earn another favorable result on the road against Tottenham this Sunday.

Liverpool is going off at +230 to beat Tottenham on the road at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, with Tottenham paying +115 to win and the draw in this contest paying +250. After scoring 13 goals and allowing 12 goals through the club's first seven games, Liverpool surprisingly played to a 0-0 draw against Manchester United at home last Saturday.

Now sitting in eighth place on the English Premier League table with a 3-1-4 record, Liverpool will try to gain ground on a Tottenham club that is in third place at 5-1-2. Tottenham is third in goals for (15) and goals against (five) behind only the two Manchester clubs so far this season.

Facing a Crystal Palace club that had been outscored 17-0 over its previous seven games, Chelsea suffered a disastrous 2-1 road loss last Saturday as -265 favorites. Chelsea (-300) will try to bounce back this Saturday against Watford (+850 to win, +400 to draw). Watford enters this game higher on the table with 15 points and a 4-1-3 record than Chelsea at 13 points with a 4-3-1 record.

Manchester City, the favorite on the odds to win the EPL title, throttled Stoke City 7-2 last Saturday, improving to 7-0-1 on the season while outscoring its opponents 13-2 over its last three games. Manchester City is the biggest favorite on the board again this Saturday going off at -1200 hosting Burnley FC (+2400 to win, +1000 to draw). Burnley is 3-1-4 this season and already has one big upset under its belt after defeating Chelsea on the road back in the first week of the season.

Manchester United is also a heavy favorite at -285 visiting Huddersfield Town (+850 to win, +395 to draw) after last week's draw. Huddersfield has gone three straight league games without scoring a goal, being outscored 6-0 over that stretch.
