Antonio Conte has hinted Eden Hazard will start Chelsea's Premier League clash against Manchester City on Saturday.

Hazard shone on only his second start of the season on Wednesday night as the Blues came from behind to beat Atletico Madrid in the Champions League - with the Belgian winger setting up Alvaro Morata for his goal.

With Pep Guardiola's league leaders visiting Stamford Bridge this weekend, Conte was asked in his pre-match press conference whether he is prepared to play Hazard from the start.

And the Chelsea manager said: "If he [Hazard] was able to play one game like the Atletico game, it means he's ready now to play with continuity.

"But I have to try and make the best decision for the team, not only for the player."

When then asked about how many changes he could make against City, Conte replied: "I don't know. Don't forget, this is the last game of seven games in 21 days, and a really tough and important game after Atletico Madrid.

"It will not be easy to make decisions [on Saturday] because, in my eyes, there is the last performance against Atletico Madrid. Every single player performed really well in this game. But I have to check the physical condition for every single player, and then make the best decision."

One player who will feature against City is striker Alvaro Morata, who is fully fit despite appearing to be limping after the victory over Atletico at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Morata, who has already scored seven goals this season, was seen walking awkwardly through the mixed zone but Conte confirmed the Spaniard has no injury problems.

Danny Drinkwater, however, remains sidelined with a calf issue which he sustained during training in September while David Luiz will serve the final game of his three-match suspension for the red card he received against Arsenal.

speaking about Luiz's absence, Conte said: "As you know very well, David Luiz is a very important player for us. For sure, he's a big loss for us.

"But I think Andreas Christensen is playing very well and showing that he's a very good player, playing with great maturity and experience, showing he can play with us. I'm happy for his performances."
