Antonio Conte has said Sergio Aguero's absence from Chelsea's clash against Manchester City hasn't altered his preparations for the Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.
Aguero was involved in a car accident late on Thursday in Amsterdam during his day off when the taxi he was travelling in hit a pillar.
Reports in Argentina on Friday morning suggested the striker, who has scored six Premier League goals this season, will be out of action for at least two months after suffering fractured ribs.
City confirmed that Aguero was involved in an accident and said the striker would be assessed on Friday afternoon upon returning from Holland before Pep Guardiola said the 29-year-old would not feature against Chelsea.
But Conte insisted that the Argentine's absence from Guardiola's line-up for the clash with Chelsea in west London hadn't affected his plans for the game.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Conte said: "First of all, I'm sorry for this situation. I hope that his feeling is good but, usually when you have this kind of accident, it's not good. But I think and hope he stays healthy."
When then questioned about whether he was surprised to see Aguero flying abroad on his day off two days before a big game, Conte replied: "No, but it was a day off, no?
"I prefer to talk about my players and not about other players of other clubs. It's a lack of respect to judge or give some observations."
He added: "Honestly, I'm not worried [when players choose to go abroad on their days off].
