Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino have both been shortlisted for October’s Premier League Manager of the Month award.

Listed alongside Burnley’s Sean Dyche and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, the north London duo both lost just once in the month of October.

Arsenal began the month with a 2-0 win over Brighton, before they were plunged into crisis and accused of lacking ‘cojones’ once more with defeat at Watford. Wenger’s side bounced back with a 5-2 win at Goodison Park, which saw Ronald Koeman sacked in the aftermath, before closing off the month with a 2-1 win over Swansea at Emirates Stadium.

October Results

Arsenal

2-1 L vs Watford

5-2 W vs Everton

2-1 W vs Swansea

Tottenham

Spurs’ suffered just their second defeat of the Premier League season at Manchester United at the end of October, however, their impressive 4-1 humbling of Liverpool at Wembley has earned Pochettino his place on the list.

Juggling an undefeated double header against Real Madrid in between their Premier League duties has made October a month to remember for Spurs fans.

Guardiola's City continued their rampant form with three wins from three while Burnley remain in the top half of the table after wins against Everton and Newcastle.
