Alexis Sanchez has returned to the Arsenal starting lineup after missing the XI that began the 0-0 draw at Chelsea eight days ago, but there is still no room for Mesut Ozil in the starting XI.

Ozil had recovered from an inflamed knee but is unable to get back in the side, with Aaron Ramsey set to play in the front three alongside Sanchez, who was deemed lacking in match fitness eight days ago and would instead start Wednesday’s 1-0 EFL Cup third round win over Doncaster.

Unsurprisingly Arsene Wenger has made a host of changes from that side, with Granit Xhaka and coming into midfield and Jack Wilshere dropping to the bench, where he is joined by Ozil.

Arsenal will come up against one of their former team-mates in the form of Kieran Gibbs, who joined West Brom for £7million earlier in the summer.
