Crystal Palace’s move for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun is dependent on whether the two clubs can agree on the structure of the £12.5million deal.

Besiktas want the fee paid in instalments across six months but Palace offered to pay in instalments across two years.

Besiktas turned down the offer and are waiting for Palace to return with a fresh bid.

Tosun is keen on a move to Palace and Besiktas are willing to sell.

An issue could be that the player is currently in Ukraine with the Turkey national team.

Tosun has 18 caps for Turkey and scored 24 goals for Besiktas last season.

Palace manager Frank de Boer wants to bring in another striker before the deadline and the club have had a bid of around £7million accepted for Everton striker Oumar Niasse.

Reinforcements are needed as Christian Benteke is the only fit striker available to De Boer following the club's decision to release Fraizer Campbell earlier in the summer.
