Eden Hazard admits Chelsea are confident ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City after the Blues came from behind to beat Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

Chelsea trailed in their Champions League Group C clash at the Wanda Metropolitano following Antoine Griezmann's first-half penalty, but hauled themselves back into the contest after Alvaro Morata headed in Eden Hazard's cross on the hour-mark.

Antonio Conte then made the decision to replace Morata for Michy Batshuayi - with the substitution proving crucial as the Belgian went on to score an added-time winner, which takes Chelsea top of their Champions League group.

After the 2-1 win in the Spanish capital, Hazard insisted Chelsea's performance demonstrated just how well the Premier League champions are playing and admitted the players are "very confident" ahead of hosting City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Speaking to BT Sport, the Belgian said: "We are very happy. It was a tough game against one of the biggest teams in Europe. We deserved to win the game.

"We are playing very well. We have quality in the team and we want to win every game. It was not easy today but we did it.

"Atletico Madrid defend well and both teams are strong at blocking the attackers."

He added: "(Michy Batshuayi) scores every time he gets on the pitch! He is a top scorer so I am very happy for him. Alvaro Morata too."
