Harry Kane got his season up and running in style at Everton as his brace helped Tottenham on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win at Goodison Park.

The England international bagged his first goal of the season - and his 100th in all competitions for Spurs - as his cross-shot left Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford helpless.

On the brink of half-time Christian Eriksen doubled the lead for Mauricio Pochettino’s side with an almost unmissable close-range finish.

It took Kane just 45 seconds after the half-time break to double his tally for the season and all but put the game beyond the Toffees to bag a second win of the season for the north Londoners.

With a comfortable lead, the visitors were more than happy to sit back for the second half as Pochettino introduced Mousa Dembele for Eriksen.

Another bonus for Pochettino was the return of youngster Harry Winks from injury, though it was at the expense of Moussa Sissoko, who hobbled off.

Having picked up both their wins so far this season on the road, Spurs will be keen to take their form into their Champions League clash on Wednesday night and get their first home win when they welcome Borussia Dortmund to Wembley.
