Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has confirmed he wants to leave the club.

However the France international insisted speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal was premature and that he had not used his recent visit to London to hold talks with the Gunners.

N’Zonzi has been left out of the squad for Sevilla’s last two league games following a bust-up with head coach Eduardo Berrizo and is now convinced he must leave the Spanish club, who signed him from Stoke in 2015.

“My future is clearly elsewhere than in Seville,” N’Zonzi told France Football. “The only thing that disappoints me is the manner in which this is ending.

It could be interesting for the club to sell me. There is always a business side, in football.

“But what bothers me is the way it's going. It had never been bad with a coach before. I never had that kind of problem.

As to a possible move to the Emirates, N’Zonzi added: “I’m indeed in London, but it’s got nothing to do with a transfer or football. I’ve come to see my son who lives here and to spend some time with him.

“As you can see, it’s not a question of signing for Arsenal or anywhere else.”
