Mauricio Pochettino has declared his ‘love’ for Harry Kane while Slaven Bilic has hailed him as one of the best in the world after the Tottenham striker’s brace in a 3-2 win at West Ham.

The England striker, who until Saturday had drawn a blank on each visit to the Hammers, opened the scoring with a fantastic diving header, before doubling the lead four minutes later when Joe Hart deflected Dele Alli’s effort into his path.

Speaking after the game, Pochettino admitted that he struggled to find the words to describe his talisman.

“For me Harry is one of the best strikers in the world,” Pochettino said.

“It is too hard to find the words to describe him because in the last three seasons I am telling you how he is.

“I am in love, like the fans are in love, like the teammates are in love - not only because he scores goals, because of how he is.

“Professional, humble, he is a very good example in football today that is a big business.

“He keeps all the values that a manger like me appreciates a lot and that is why I say to you I am in love with him for different reasons.”

Meanwhile, Bilic admitted that despite his back three performing well, Kane was still too good, though he’s not letting the 24-year-old forget his problems with August.

“The best compliment I can give him is that - put it like this - we play with three centre-backs and I really think that Fonte, Reid and Angelo Ogbonna had a really good game.

“Still he was using those situations and basically he decided the game for them and my centre-backs were good, so that tells a volume.

“Yeah [he is one of best in the world], I don’t know, if there are two of them [top strikers] he probably isn’t,

“But if there are five or ten he is definitely there, because he is doing that week in, week out now, apart from August.”
