New West Ham manager David Moyes took charge of his first training session at Rush Green on Tuesday afternoon as he began his work to turn the Hammers’ fortunes around.

The former Everton and Manchester United manager was appointed on Tuesday morning following the sacking of Croatian Slaven Bilic on Monday.

Bilic was dismissed following a poor run of Premier League form, culminating in an embarrassing 4-1 defeat at home to Liverpool.

Moyes, who will visit London Stadium for the first time as manager on Wednesday, has two weeks to work with his squad before his first game – away at Watford – thanks to the international break.

While the Scot will have to wait a while to work with his full squad, a number of key first team players were still in for training in Romford on Tuesday afternoon, including Manuel Lanzini, Mark Noble and Andy Carroll, as well as youth prospects Declan Rice and Toni Martinez.

Moyes will hold his first press conference as West Ham manager at London Stadium from 4pm on Wednesday.
