Joe Hart to start in goal for West Ham against Arsenal, confirms David Moyes

David Moyes has confirmed that Joe Hart will start in goal for West Ham against Arsenal on Tuesday night, insisting the shot-stopper is "ready" to come back into the Hammers' starting line-up.

Hart - who is spending the season on loan at West Ham from Manchester City - has not played since the 4-0 defeat away to Everton in late November because of Adrian's fine form in goal.

The Spaniard started against Manchester City because of Hart's ineligibility to play against his parent club, and has kept his place since - keeping three clean sheets and making a string of impressive saves.

And it seems his positive attitude has resulted in Moyes deciding to start Hart on Tuesday night when West Ham take on Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

"Joe Hart will definitely start tomorrow night," Moyes told reporters on Monday. "He's been very good around the place and he's ready to play."

When then asked about the rest of his team news, Moyes said: "We've got the same sort of squad but with a couple of injuries and a couple of young players around.

"Andy Carroll could return. He's had a bad back but he trained today and we will make a call on him tomorrow.

"Ideally we would have changed one or two players, but we're a bit short and our priority is the Premier League, but nothing would give me more pleasure than reaching a Cup final."
