Jose Mourinho has ruled out ending his managerial career at Manchester United.

Mourinho was named as the Red Devils manager in May 2016, leading his side to Europa League and EFL Cup wins in his first season in charge.

United have enjoyed a significant upswing in Mourinho’s second season and are vying with local rivals Manchester City for top spot in the Premier League.

The 54-year-old, though, has rarely stayed too long at one club, only once reaching his fourth season at a club, and that ended with his first departure form Chelsea a little over a month into the new campaign.

Mourinho has previously spoken of his desire to extend his three year contract, which includes an option of a fourth, but United fans should not expect a lengthy reign.

He told TF1's Telefoot programme: “The only thing I can say is that I'm still a coach with worries, with ambitions, and with the desire to do new things.

“And I don't believe... no, I'm sure that I won't end my career here.”

Asked if that meant at Manchester United, Mourinho said: “Yes.”

Mourinho hinted that Paris Saint-Germain could be a future option for him, adding: “My son who lives in London went to Paris to see a Paris Saint-Germain match and he did not go to Manchester.

"Why Paris? Because there's something special. Magic, quality, youth, it's fantastic."
