Manchester United and Man City face off in what could be a Premier League title-deciding derby on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's City lead city rivals United by eight points heading into the Old Trafford clash, with Jose Mourinho's Red Devils well off the pace despite sitting second in the table.

A win for City on United's turf would guarantee the League leaders an 11-point lead after just 16 games, but victory for Mourinho's men could blow the title race wide open heading into a busy festive fixture pile-up.

The big miss for United is Paul Pogba, who is suspended for the next three League games after being sent off against Arsenal.

Guardiola has warned that Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva could be ruled out of Sunday's clash, though Mourinho has accused the Catalan coach of simply playing mind games with his team news.

How they could line up

Man United starting XI: De Gea; Lindelof, Smalling, Rojo; Valencia, Matic, Herrera, Young; Lingard, Martial, Lukaku

Man City starting XI: Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Kompany, Delph; De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Silva, Sterling, Aguero, Sane

City team news

As for the Premier League leaders, Vincent Kompany is into the back line with Sergio Aguero forced to watch from the sidelines. David Silva starts as expected, while Guardiola boasts some fearsome pace in Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus all starting together.

United team news

So the biggest news for United is that Mourinho does indeed go with a bold attacking line-up, switching from a 3-5-2 to a 4-2-3-1. With Pogba suspended that sees Herrera comes in, but Lindelof drops to the bench to allow Rashford to start up top. If United are going to lose today, they're going down in style.

Jose vs Pep

The derby is fast approaching, and the war of words continues...

Jose Mourinho believes Manchester City's players go down very easily, with the Manchester United boss saying it only takes a "little bit of wind" to knock them over.

While full of praise for Guardiola's side, the Portuguese used the opportunity to underline the unbeaten league leaders' apparent tendency to go to the deck.

"They are a good team," Mourinho said. "They defend well, they react well to the moment they lose the ball.

"They have a good dynamic in attack, they have creative movement.

"They have amazing players, they have a fantastic coach, they have lots of good things.

"If you ask me one thing that I don't like a lot it's that they lose their balance very easily.

"You know, a little bit of wind and they fall."
