Manchester City will face Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli and Feyenoord in the Champions League group stage this season.

It is the seventh consecutive season in Europe's tier competition, with their best still the semi-final exit to Real Madrid of two seasons ago.

Last term, their first under two-time winner Pep Guardiola, Monaco were victors in a remarkable 6-6 round-of-16 tie which saw City exit on away goals.

Man City, in Pot 2, will be relatively positive given the tougher teams they could have faced. Shakhtar continues to play home games away from Donetsk which is at the centre of conflict between Ukraine government forces and pro-Russian separatists.

Napoli, meanwhile, finished third in Serie A last season, qualifying for this season's Champions League via the play-offs while Feyenoord are reigning Eredivisie champions.
