Defeat for Arsenal saw them drop below Liverpool in the table, with Jurgen Klopp’s side leading the way on goals scored.

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus secured a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad, with substitute Alexandre Lacazette scoring for the visitors.

Arsenal's captain for today will be Laurent Koscielny, partnering Nacho Monreal in what looks like it should be a very stable back two. These are arguably Wenger's two best centre-backs but boy do they have a challenge ahead of him, with City record goalscorer Sergio Aguero spearheading an attack that includes Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.

Well Wenger has done it again. He's not averse to the surprise tactical reshuffle in big matches and he has certainly done that here, starting a back four for the first time since that 3-0 humbling at Selhurst Park. However this looks far more defensively-minded.

We'll have to wait and see exactly how they line up but I would assume in defence this will be a 4-4-1-1 from Arsenal, with Ramsey and Iwobi on the flanks and Ozil and Sanchez basically up top on their own.

Team news is less than 10 minutes away - will Sead Kolasinac have recovered in time for Arsenal? If not Arsene Wenger faces a major, major selection headache of who to put in defence if he shifts Nacho Monreal to left wing-back. Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny will presumably start but does Rob Holding or Mathieu Debuchy take his place?

All eyes will be on Alexis Sanchez this afternoon, except maybe those of Bayern Munich. They've already decided they won't be making a January move for the Chilean... because Karl Heinz Rummenigge thinks they wouldn't have a chance.
